Ive gone through all of level 1 without a problem, but the first part of level 2 (the sprinkles) is where I have been having a big problem. It helps you in getting familiar with the Blender interface. Im brand new to Blender, so as many newbies do, Ive been watching the Blender Guru Donut Beginner Guide. There are often several ways to do something in Blender, and it’s useful to be exposed to them all as you go along. This is the first episode of the updated donut tutorial: Beginner Tutorial - Part 1 by Blender Guru. Click on that, and choose General -> Geometry Nodes. Youll learn the UI, modelling, sculpting, texturing, shading, geometry nodes, lighting, rendering, compositing and compiling into a final animation. I actually prefer method of using a Shinkwrap modifier now, but it makes sense to stick with the techniques a tutorial offers. We’ll create a new Workspace (tab) at the top of blender, which will allow us to see our geometry node setup alongside our donut: If you don’t see this, look for a little down arrow near the top right corner of the top menu bar. Learn the fundamentals of Blender while making your very own donut. You'll also learn how to make your icing st. If you start with something more bite size, introduced by an instructor who doesn’t ramble nor jump around randomly (like Joseph’s recommendation Grant Abbitt, who’s my favourite Blender tutor) you’ll very quickly be able to do that donut by yourself without any problems. In this video, you'll learn how to make the icing on the blender more realistic by making some parts of it droop. I started with that too, and almost dropped Blender completely because it was so frustrating to follow. Please don’t lose heart because of the bloody donut. That’s supposed to snap only to the target that the source was initially near, which should be the donut surface. Btw clipping is pretty normal in particles, you can even see that sprinkles are clipping through each other. In your place the one thing I see that could help is checking Snap to Same Target. Select all of the sprinkles, press Ctrl+A and select Rotation. I haven’t responded because I am still on 3.1 and snapping has changed a lot since, so none of my old techniques will work. So I was trying to copy the objects one by one into a new Blender file and set up some light lights, but the objects did not copy with their meshes.Welcome to the Fellowship of the Torus of Doom. To do this, I want the vertices of the icing to snap to the faces of the donut below in such way that. I am trying to move the vertices of the icing object to model the icing dripples. I use poisson Disk and what I link is the density factor not density, so it should be 01, but I finally found out why.Because at a very first try, I link the input to selection, although I change. The Blender particle system isnt perfect. Blender version: 3.2.2 Platform: Windows-10-0-SP0 (Windows 11) Issue: I have a donut (Torus) and an icing (duplicate of the half of the donut) object. Weight paint is just between 0 and 1 and thats why you dont see your difference. I found an interesting tutorial about BAKING on YouTube ( ), but when I opened the downloaded sample file, it changed my Blender interface (to an older version’s interface?) The point of the donut tutorial series isn't to make donuts but to guide a beginner through all the important steps and tools in blender, from making your first model, all the way to animating and rendering it. In this video I present a way to fix the problem of overlapping sprinkles based on the Blender Guru Donut tutorial. I am trying to figure out how to import all (texture and sprinkles included) to SketchUp, but I just can’t figure it out and I am getting further and further from the solution. Modélisez et Texturez un DONUT avec Blender Dans ce tutoriel Blender 3D, apprenez à modéliser et à texturer un donut en utilisant les outils et les techniqu. Unfortunately (and understandably), Blenmder is not an accepted format here… I hope this link: ( ) will work. My problem is, the Sprinkles is visible in my viewport : However, when I render it, the sprinkles are gone : My Blender file can be downloaded here. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at part 7 on rendering Sprinkles. I was trying to add my Blender file to here, so you can see what is wrong…I couldn’t figure it out. I just started learning Blender, so I'm following the donuts tutorial from Blender Guru.
